Glamour UK Interview With Robert Pattinson

Q: What made you say yes to Remember Me; you are in the position to say yes or no to a director, or to choose which movie you want to be in, yes?

A: Kind of. You get certain offers and stuff, but with this, it was before Twilight came out, and I read the script and I wanted to do another job before Twilight came out. I didn't end up doing one, but that was one of the things I read. So with this, usually every single young guy who is a lead is often such a stock character. But Tyler wasn't really coming from an obvious place and wasn't ending up in an obvious place either, so it gave you much more to work with, and it could be more of a character piece. There are certain things about generic films where you have to do certain things and perform in a certain way, and it doesn't really make sense. I think that's why this is kind of a little bit weird in that respect, it doesn't really fit what you'd expect from this kind of drama.

Q: With Remember Me, were there certain aspects of the character you could empathize with? He's a guy who likes to do his own thing…

A: Yeah, in a lot of ways, I saw right from the beginning that he was quite similar to me, and I kind of tried to tailor it to be even more similar, but then the more I tailored it, the more it became a fictional creation. But yeah, I've been saying there's a kind of moment where, I think it's the end of the adolescent period, where you think that you have to be an individual so much and you want to stamp your identity on everything. I mean, you get to your early 20s and you are much more accepting of being part of the world, and not wanting to drive everything away from you all the time, and I kind of had that when I was in my early 20s.

Q: Would you ever stand up for yourself to the point where you are going to fight with authority, like the character?

A: I know, that's what one of the main things I liked about it; there are certain things which are like fantasy scenes of mine. It was quite satisfying, even the way he fights. It was all in the script, it said he fights like a pitbull, and I was just like, 'Yeah, I want to fight like a pitbull!'

Q: Were you at all intimidated by Pierce Brosnan in real life?

A: I went to meet him for dinner just before we started shooting, and he's a really nice guy. He's kind of suave and he does look exactly the same all the time. He has great posture. He does this funny thing when we're out at a restaurant and there are people looking over at him, and it's a kind of posh French restaurant so there are a lot of older, banker type looking people and they obviously had no idea who I was, and they were obviously just looking at him and making a little joke or whatever, and he goes up to their table and introduces himself to everybody at that table, and you can see that they all really like him - I don't know what he said. He was introducing me as his son to people. (laughter)

Q: Did this role feel very different from the other roles that you have played?

A: Yeah, definitely, there's certain things about it; you can improvise quite a lot more, especially in comparison to the Twilight films. The whole point of the Twilight films is that there are so many hindrances as to what you can do, whereas with Tyler, it's kind of, it's the first time I played somebody who is just the kind of normal guy, without anything fancy, or without a period element, or without some kind of social inadequacy. He is literally just a normal guy, with no specific handicaps, and it was fun.

Q: How did you regard Tyler's relationship with Caroline; they kind of need each other, don't they?

A: Yeah, but it's like, at the same time, she's the kind of key or something. It's not like they're going to meet up and everything changes in their lives or whatever. It's not saying people's lives completely change, just having a couple of days of happiness, or a couple of minutes of happiness, can literally turn around your entire life, and you just have to be aware of it, you just have to make them sort of see things just a little bit more.

Q: When will you shoot the last Twilight movie?

A: I think I'm going to have to do "Breaking Dawn" at the end of this year, so I'm not sure when.

Q: What's your best disguise in order to be able to walk down Oxford Street?

A: Biting your nails works quite well! Actually, I was in HMV on Oxford Street on Christmas Eve buying Christmas presents, and not a single person noticed. And here were posters [Twilight and New Moon] everywhere! It's been years since I've done anything like that, and I think people just aren't looking in the same way in London.

Q: How do you deal with fame?

A: I just try to keep working. Even ten years ago, Leonardo DiCaprio always talked about being able to take a break away from everything, but I don't think you can do that anymore. I think you need to capitalize and steer your career at the same time, because I think that, especially with a thing like Twilight, where it is literally such a huge universe…

Q: Is it a burden to you, but it opens doors?

A: It opens doors and it closes others, like anything does. You can say, 'Oh if I was still unknown, then no one would judge me', but at the same time, nobody would give a shit either (laughter). It's a weird little balance. And most of the time, you are just completely guessing what you should do, so I guess I'm just doing scripts that I think are good.

Q: Did the Twilight fans make shooting Remember Me in New York quite difficult?

A: The fan situation, completely, honestly, they were lovely. They would completely respond to people saying - "Please go and wait over there or something", even when there were tons and tons of them, but it was like the paparazzi who were unbelievable. They were like jackals.

Q: You said that you never asked a girl on a date like Tyler does. Is that more difficult now you're famous?

A: Yeah, I would imagine. I'm much more self conscious now because you can't afford to like fail. You're kind of afraid of succeeding too so you just kind of, you know, anyway you look at it…

Q: In what ways has this success changed things for you?

A: It changed more in America. I always thought it was going to be like this. I came out last Christmas and it was kind of… it was all pretty low key again and I always thought it would've changed by now in London but it hasn't really. People just don't look for the same stuff, but in America, I guess it is different

Vampire Sucks Actress Talks About Robert Pattinson

Vampire Sucks actress, Jenn Proske talks about Robert Pattinson and poking fun at Twilight.

Will the cast of “Twilight” love it or hate it?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and I really feel that this is something that they will love and be able to laugh at as well. It’s definitely not a bashing of “Twilight,” it’s something that’s definitely done out of love and inspiration from the phenomenon.

On the new Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner…

I think both of our guys are going to give Taylor and Rob a run for their money. I think Matt [Lanter] is going to give Rob Pattinson a run for his money. Chris [Riggi] looks great as a werewolf too. He has worked so hard to look as amazing as he does.

Finally, Team Edward or Team Jacob?

I’m Team Edward. Tell Chris Riggi I’m sorry.

Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen Join 'On The Road' Cast

As if we weren’t excited enough for everyone who is involved in the upcoming adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road,” Deadline exclusively learned last night that Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen are coming on board as two of the film’s main characters.

Please, try to contain you glee, it’s taken us a moment as well.

Amy will be playing Jane, the “emotionally damaged junkie mother of two children and the wife of Old Bull Lee,” while Viggo will be playing Old Bull Lee. Bull was inspired by real life author William S. Burroughs, and Jane was inspired by his second wife Joan Vollmer, who died after William accidentally shot her head while drunk. Clearly we should expect happy marriage on screen. These are two actors who we love seeing in movies separately, and the idea of having them together in the same film acting off of each other is close to blowing our mind. Add that to the already great cast including Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley, with Jose Rivera writing the script and Walter Salles directing the film, and you’ve got a film that looks like it was worth the 30 years it took to get it to the big screen.

Behind The Scenes Of Teen Choice Awards

Water For Elephants Extra Talks About Robert Pattinson

Jonathan Moore, who plays the tall man in Water For Elephants shares his experience being an extra on the set and mentions Rob:

Robert Pattinson stood inches from me. Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz, both Oscar winners, were only feet away. Directly in front of me, and behind the camera, sat Rodrigo Prieto, an Oscar-nominated director of photography.
I should have been completely awestruck at the level of talent that surrounded me. Yet the only thing I could truly focus on was my aching feet and legs due to the flat slippers the wardrobe department had given me to wear – and having to stand on them for hours on end.

Playing the Tall Man, a non-speaking, featured-extra role in the film “Water for Elephants” proved to be equal parts fun and exhausting.

Based on the popular book of the same name by Sara Gruen, the story is about a young man who joins a Depression-era circus. I was cast as a part of a group of sideshow performers that included a midget, Wolfboy, the Fat Lady, the Strong Man and a couple of contortionists.

My job was to be present in the background and, in some cases, right up next to the lead actors. I suppose my claim to fame was the scene in which I and a few other men physically shoved Pattinson to the front of a group of circus workers so that he could be properly “initiated” into the circus life by being sprayed with water, pelted with pies and kissed by the showgirls.

But there were other scenes, too, including one on the sleeping car of the train, another when I stood with Pattinson and a few others and watched Witherspoon cavort with an elephant.

There is a chance that I will be seen on screen. But, being familiar with filmmaking, I understand that there is an even better chance that I will not be seen. Wait and see, I guess.

It was fun to meet and work with such talent, including director Francis Lawrence. Yet the thing that I found most impressive – as I always have – was the extraordinary work ethic of the crew.

Bel Ami Release Date Update

After the Total Film article about ‘Bel Ami’ release date, Bel Ami Film contacted Protagonist Pictures to check the “December 2011″ date.

Protagonist Pictures’ reply:
There’s no distributor attached to the film in the US as yet so therefore no release date. No confirmation on the UK yet either I’m afraid – we’ll post this info on our website as soon as there is a definite date. I think the ETA on Total Film is purely speculative at this stage.

Kristen Stewart Scared Of Karaoke..

Kristen Stewart is petrified of karaoke, and finds even the thought of it embarrassing.

The actress recently played Joan Jett in biopic The Runaways, which was based on the band of the same name. She had to sing for the role, and had no problem showing off her vocal talents. However, she is much shyer when she isn’t in character. Kristen doesn’t understand how people get enjoyment from singing alone to tunes in bars, and has never managed to get past a few lines of a track.

“I would never, ever do karaoke,” she is quoted as saying. “I am so scared of that. Each time I have ever given it a try I have had about two lines and I have ended up talking them. It's making me embarrassed just talking about it.”

Last year, Kristen did sing in public while promoting Twilight in Japan. She was there with her co-star and boyfriend Robert Pattinson, and the pair impressed locals by giggling their way through a version of Sir Elton John’s Your Song.

Hugh Jackman was promoting his film Australia at the same time, and also took a turn on the microphone. Australia director Baz Luhrmann then asked Robert to sing a duet.

“It was really funny seeing Baz Luhrmann and Rob singing a David Bowie song," Kristen said at the time. "It was a talky one so they both could sort of talk to each other, and they were riffing back and forth. They were looking longingly into each other’s eyes.”

Rob Private Gig

Robert Pattinson Plays Intimate Gig The Twilight hunk played guitar & sang some of his new material...
12:12, Friday, 6 August 2010
Robert Pattinson has played an intimate gig, showcasing some if his own songs.

The Twilight actor, who has always been very vocal about his love of music performed as part of the Songs From A Room project which organises up-and-coming musicians to perform and uploads the footage online.

Pattinson has previously spoken about his love of music, telling Parade.com: "Music is my back-up plan if acting fails. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket,"

"I kind of want to do [an album] at the end of the year - all my friends are recording albums and I'm very annoyed about it, but I can't do two things at once."

He added: "I don't know how people like Jennifer Lopez can act and also sing. I'm just like, 'I can't'. But, hopefully, I'll find some time to get it together."

R-Pattz, who is reportedly thinking about quitting Hollywood with his rumoured lover and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart also had some of his own material featured on some film soundtracks, including Twilight itself.

The Songs From A Room project has previously attracted other high-profile names, including band the Magic Numbers.

Peter Facinelli Mentions Robert Pattinson In Interview

It’s hard to imagine now, but the crowds weren’t always there. While filming the first movie in Oregon, Facinelli said he and fellow actors Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson could grab dinner in local restaurants and no one batted an eye.

“We could’ve been doing a cookie commercial. Nobody cared we were doing this movie,” he said. “We felt a responsibility to make a good movie for the fans of the books. But somewhere between the wrapping of filming and the premiere, that fan base exploded.”

Even after that, the dark-haired Facinelli said he often wasn’t recognized in public. In real life, he’s a young-looking 36 with a healthy glow about him. It takes up to two hours in a makeup chair to transform the actor into Carlisle Cullen, a 350-year-old vampire with bleach-blond hair and pale, shimmery skin.

Of course nowadays, admirers have no problem picking the L.A. resident out of a crowd. He’s happy to sign autographs and pose for photos, though he’d rather not pretend he’s biting someone. For the most part, he said, fans are friendly and supportive.

“They’re very polite about it,” he said. “I feel bad for Rob Pattinson. He can’t walk anywhere. I can still walk through a mall and people recognize me, but it isn’t like the whole mall is staring at me.”

Welcome To The Rileys Costume Designer Talks Kristen Stewart

The Back-Lot podcast talks with costume designer Kim Bowen, who worked on the film Welcome to the Rileys starring Kristen Stewart, James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo. Bowen talks about working on the film with director Jake Scott and the level of commitment from each of the three stars. She also talks about the costume designer profession as a whole and the difference between working in films and commercials.

Here are some excerpts of Bowen’s interview talking about Stewart:

“Kristen Stewart is a very unusual person, acting since she was a child she has deliberately steered clear of all the candy coloured heaven that Hannah Montana Hollywood offers.”

Getting the perfect look for Stewart’s character of Mallory:

“Kristen Stewart was a challenge because she is really, really elegant. She is one of the most naturally elegant people I have ever encountered. She just had a natural thing about her body, the way she is shaped and the way she moves. She is an extremely gifted actress and I don’t know if that is part of what lends her as such an expert interpretation of clothes.”

“We went through three different paths to get her wardrobe right. The first time it was a stylist’s dream, she looked amazing. A modern version of Jodie Foster in “Taxi Driver,” she just looked amazing. We then realized it was wrong, she looked too good. We wanted to have her look more fragile.”

”In the end, we had to really strip it down. She ended up wearing large over-size clothes, hiding herself. You only get to really see her fully in her stripper outfits, very crude -what a young girl would think sexy looks like.”

Kristen Stewart’s investment in the character:

“Kristen is a very invested actress. She has been doing the Twilight films, and it was very important to her to play this character with a real dose of reality. I don’t think she wanted anything frivolous out of it, I don’t think she wanted to be glamorous. That wasn’t important to her, she wanted it to be real.”

“Kristen is a very courageous actress. She wanted to be fully that character of Mallory. She didn’t care about looking beautiful; in fact she thought quite the opposite. She had the make-up artist cover her with bruises and cold sores. Kristen looked a wreck half the time. She didn’t have any desire to be physically perfect.”

Welcome to the Rileys tells the story of Gandolfini and Leo, as Doug and his wife Lois who are dealing with the death of their teenage daughter. On a business trip to New Orleans, Doug meets teenage stripper Mallory. After turning her down at the strip club where Mallory works, Doug offers to pay Mallory $100 a day if he can stay for a while, get his head together. No sex. No strings. Lois soons joins Doug in New Orleans, and the couple try to heal their broken lives and save Mallory’s in the process.

Robert Pattinson Refuses Underwear Ad

According to latest news, Robert Pattinson has rejected the offer to be the face of a new range of underwear of Marks and Spencer.

So do you think that this piece of news has broken the hearts of millions of his female fans all over the world?

Well definitely. We are very sure that all his female fans would love to see the British hunk posing in his bare essentials, but given Robert’s rejection, we don’t think that their wish is going to be fulfilled soon. So what should be the ideal medicine for the terrible heartbreak? We think that ladies should deal with their loss of heart by buying loads and loads of R-Pant-underwear that has been designed keeping in mind the styling preferences of the actor. Even if they can’t see Robert in his underwear, no one can stop them from imagining.

There after they can make their boyfriends or husbands wear those and enjoy a cozy twosome. According to our opinion, in this way the women will be getting a healthy dose of dream stuff and at the same time they will be enjoying the reality also.

Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson Considering Quitting Hollywood

Look magazine reports that Stewart is trying to persuade R-Pattz to ditch big blockbusters for indie films and the theatre.

A source said: “They are considering changing their lives so they can concentrate on their relationship and get away from stardom.”

“Kristen’s suggested they try theatre work and indie films. They are both incredibly talented actors and very well thought of in the industry.” “Despite starring in big-budget productions, they’ve managed to retain credibility, so theatre is the perfect option.”

Pattinson has just finished filming Water For Elephants while Stewart will next be seen on the big screen in The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys – both small budget features.

Robert Pattinson Flirting Days Over?

Kristen Stewart must have Robert Pattinson in check, since he's now reportedly as off-the-market as ever.

Hollywood Life reports that while Rob was in Tennessee filming scenes for Water For Elephants, he made a point to not flirt with any girls on a night out -- much to the disappointment of Tennessee's girls.

The manager at Tennessee's Chattanooga Billiard Club said that Rob was very low-key during a night out with pals:

He was not flirting or carrying on with any girls. He was relaxing with his cast and crew, drinking and not eating – and he didn’t play billiards.
The 24-year-old Twilight hunk has been rumored to be dating co-star Kristen, although the pair have never publicly admitted their romance. Maybe things are getting pretty serious between the couple now that Rob has retired from his flirtin' ways.

Robert Pattinson Wants To Adopt Dog

According to Musicrooms.net:
Robert Pattinson grew so close to a dog on the set of his new film he has asked to adopt it.

The hunky actor is currently working on Water for Elephants which is about a handsome young veterinarian who joins the circus and also stars Reese Witherspoon. Robert had to shoot several scenes with a Jack Russell terrier, and got so attached to the pooch he has decided to give him a new home.

“The trainer said yes, but that it would cost Rob because he’s a show dog with special acting skills,” an insider giggled. “Rob laughed and said he’d pay whatever. He loves that little pooch.”
It is unknown when Robert will be allowed to take the mutt home, or what he has decided to name him. 'The Panic Room' Review

We all absolutely adore Kristen, so it's no wonder we love the film that brought her to fame! The panic room, based on a new invention in the very early years of this millennium, surprisingly called"A panic room". The new invention was a room made so that burglars couldn't get into it, so what happens when what they came for, is in that room?

The story has a unique baseline that no one could've expected. When family of two (Jodie Foster and Kristen) find the house they love, they don't hesitate to buy it. But when on their first night they find three criminals lurking through the house, they head straight for the room said to be the safest room in the whole house, and yet, they still manage to find trouble. What they want is in that room, and when they can't get in, they want the family, to get out.

However, the two seem reluctant to leave the room, or the house, to give the criminal trio what they want. But what with Sarah (Kristen) suffering from Low blood sugar, they might just need to get out soon. And fast. Before they are forced to play a game of cat and mouse in their own house...

Jimmy Fallon Talks About Working With Robert Pattinson

New Interview from PopSugar:

Jimmy Fallon stopped by NBC’s day of the TCA press tour on Friday to talk about hosting the Emmys and Late Night. We caught up with him at the party later that night, where we couldn’t help but ask about working with Robert Pattinson on Robert is Bothered. Jimmy had nothing but glowing words for the Twilight star, who caused the loudest fan screams of any guest he’s had on the show. Jimmy also shared his thoughts on this week’s American Idol shakeup. Here’s more:

PopSugar: Can we expect to see Robert is Bothered at the Emmys?
Jimmy Fallon: Of all the bits on our show that we can do, we gave [the Academy] 10 different versions of all sorts of things we could do, to which they said these are all great, but we have to give out awards. So we have to cut it down to three bits. And Rober

t is Bothered was not in there. I pitched Robert is Bothered for Teen Choice Awards.
PS: How was Robert Pattinson to work with on Robert is Bothered?
JF: He was a great sport. He climbed up in the tree and did it with us. I’ve never heard louder screams in my life. The screams didn’t compare to anyone, even when Justin Bieber has been on. He was describing his movie Remember Me and people would just not stop screaming. And I was just thinking this is so cool. What an experience. I really hope he’s enjoying this ride. He’s a great guy and he deserves it. He was really shy and really happy — exactly the same backstage as he is on the interview. He’s a charming guy, but just really shy and I just hope he’s enjoying the moment. It must be super exciting to be him.

Harley Pasternak Talks About Working With Robert Pattinson

Celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak talks about working with Robert Pattinson and getting him all set for filming Water For Elephants.

How he got Robert Pattinson to be even more swoon-worthy:
“We work with him whenever he has a film to get ready for, which is quite often. Right now for the movie he’s doing, ‘Water for Elephants,’ we’re working with him on that. He’s a great client, works hard. Again, not someone who naturally is someone who grew up working out and going to the gym, but it’s part of his job and part of looking good and feeling good.”

Why his diet appeals to the celeb clientele:
“It requires the least amount of time for the most amount of results, and the clients that we have, that’s what they’re looking for. They need to see results, and they don’t have a lot of time to see those results. It also has to be sustainable.”

Harley’s 5-Factor Diet has been a celebrity favorite for quite some time, and his client list includes Miley Cyrus, Robert Pattinson, Lady Gaga, Megan Fox, Katy Perry, Seth Rogen, and the Jennifer Hudson

The runaways review.

Now here's a story worth telling:

THE RUNAWAYS!

The Rock film of the year it seems! Starring Dakota Fanning, and of course, everyone's favourite actress, Kristen Stewart! Who acts out Joan Jett so perfectly that Joan said she struggled to notice that it wasn't her.

Kristen's acting, and singing, added with the talents of her best friend-Dakota Fanning, made this film a must see movie of the year! The runaways follows the live of rock legends Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, how they became rock legends and who they met and came across along the way.

The film is a classic case of Rock 'n' Roll where Cherie went from being a normal girl, to going straight into being a rock legend, drugs and alcohol included. A lifestyle Cherie's sister isn't too happy about.

You gotta see it!
