Site that Always Judges Kristen Stewart Feels Bad that Kristen Stewart is Judged
We don’t envy much about HollywoodLife, but it really must be kind of nice to lack all self-awareness.
Today the oblivious site picks up Kristen Stewart’s interview with the Daily Telegraph and proceeds to write an item totally at odds with its previous treatment of the actress.
“Poor Kristen Stewart Was Called A Bitch In High School — When She Was Really Just Shy!” blares the headline.
“Kristen Stewart is a perfect example of the expression, ‘you can’t always judge a book by its cover,’” says the site.
HollywoodLife reflects on Stewart’s difficult school years, when kids who had never spoken to her would make assumptions and call her a “bitch.”
“Although the actress comes off as tough and aloof in interviews, she’s really just painfully shy,” explains the site. “And she’s paid the price for that misunderstanding.”
“We genuinely feel bad for K-Stew — it sucks to be so misunderstood.”
Very, very true.
But did HollywoodLife intend to write this as parody?
Because, um, the site routinely judges books by their cover.
In fact, the site has specifically judged Kristen Stewart by her ‘cover,’ suggesting that she’s a “curmudgeon” who “tries to be unlikable” and once criticized her clothes at a charity fundraiser to mock her social graces.
The site also attacked her for being “glum” during a somber moment at the Oscars, and chided her “downcast” attitude in a Vogue interview.
Being misunderstood does suck.
So does HollywoodLife’s hypocrisy
