Kristen Stewart Claims ‘On the Road’ Exceeded Her Expectation

Although admitting her nerves never went away during the filming of the drama, the ‘Twilight Saga’ beauty gushes, ‘It was so much fun. It was wild.’ Kristen Stewart is clearly happy with the production of “On the Road”. Though she was unable to put her nervousness aside when shooting the adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel of the same name, the actress who plays Mary Lou in the drama film told MTV News that the shooting “exceeded every expectation”.

“It was everything I wanted it to be,” the 20-year-old actress who is rumored to be dating her “Twilight Saga” series co-star Robert Pattinson gushed when talking about the production. She went on to say, “It exceeded every expectation. It was so much fun. It was wild. We didn’t really know what to expect every day.”When speaking about “intimidating visitors” who kept everyone on their toes in terms of historical accuracy, Kristen said, “There are people that lived that and so we did feel like, ‘God, I hope they don’t think we’re stupid kids doing this movie.’ ” As for the obsessive fans of the book, she admitted she never knew quite how to react.

“On the Road” centers on Sal Paradise’s journey to see America. It follows his ups and downs as he hitchhikes, hops trains, meets other travelers, struggles for meals and explores the themes of freedom and longing. Along the way, he meets free-spirited, sexual Mary Lou who is married to Dean Moriarty, but talks of living together with him.

In the cast ensemble, Kristen is joined by Sam Riley, who stars as Sal, and Garrett Hedlund, who plays her on-screen husband Dean. Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen and Amy Adams are also in supporting roles with Walter Salles serving as the film’s director. No release date has been set just yet.
