Reese Witherspoon got married over the weekend to Jim Toth. There were many celebrities present. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were nowhere to be found however. There had been speculation for the last couple of weeks, by many tabloid websites, that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may attend Witherspoon's wedding because her and Rob had become friends during the filming of Water for Elephants. This speculation was based on that and nothing else. The fact that Rob and Kristen were not present is no real surprise. There are two possible explanations as to why they were not in attendance. First: They were not invited. It wouldn't be a shock if Pattinson and Stewart were simply not invited to the wedding. Just because Rob and Reese had become friends during filming doesn't mean they were close enough for Rob to get an invite. People don't invite every single friend to their wedding. Some friends simply are not close enough to be invited to such a special event. Second: Rob and Kristen were invited but couldn't make it. It is very possible that Pattinson and Stewart were too busy filming Breaking Dawn to make it to the wedding. The speculation that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were going to attend Witherspoon's wedding was unrealistic from the get go. We aren't sure why it was ever a story in the first place.
