Robert Pattinson has no problem admitting he was wrong, way wrong, on his predictions for The Twilight Saga. When he signed on to the project, the popular heartthrob originally believed the vampire movie series would be an indie, not a blockbuster hit.
Pattinson could not have been more off base! He must be thanking his lucky stars he was open-minded enough to give this "indie" a chance and take the role of Edward Cullen.
"I thought at the time, with Catherine Hardwicke and Kristen Stewart, it was going to be an indie movie. It seemed really interesting; a teen vampire movie that was going to be like Thirteen and really serious. I had no idea it was going to be this big thing you'd get on Burger King hats," confessed R-Patz.
Burger King hats, and so much more! The Twilight Saga has certainly become a commercialized phenomenon nationally and internationally. And, the buzz is still going strong, especially with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart currently filming Breaking Dawn.
But, back to Robert Pattinson's comment. It seems when the Twilight hunk accepted the role, he viewed his now-girlfriend Kristen Stewart as strictly an indie actress. And, she was definitely more off-the-radar before her vampire days. Nevertheless, Stewart has definitely skyrocketed to the mainstream, right along with her man Robert Pattinson.
Not a bad outcome for their "indie" endeavor!
